Pastor Jerry Lange brings 35 years of pastoral experience to his role on our
Interim Pastoral Team. After doing his student internship right here
at First Covenant, he served Covenant churches in Sugar Grove, PA,
Cadillac, MI, and Northport, MI. In addition to preaching, Pastor
Jerry enjoys writing original songs and dramatic sketches to aid in
communicating the gospel.
Bobbie Lange is a classically trained organist and pianist, with her
Master's Degree in music from the University of Michigan. She has
served as a church musician since her teens, and enjoys all facets of
worship music, from directing a worship band to playing great hymns on
the majestic pipe organ.
Pastor Tom Beckstrom, a “retired” covenant pastor, has joined the staff at First Covenant Church for the summer. Tom and his wife Barb live in Veco Beach, Florida. Tom grew up in the Jamestown area, became a Christian at the age of 9 while attending Mission Meadows Bible Camp and joined First Covenant Church. After Graduating from Southwestern, he went to S.U.N.Y in Fredonia then North Park Theological Seminary. After 45 years of serving covenant churches in the Midwest, he retired to Florida. This is the sixth time he has come out of retirement to serve churches.
Tom and Barb have two married sons and enjoy being grandparents to five beautiful grandchildren. Besides the family, they both enjoy antiques, gardening, and hosting family and friends over the dinner table.
Tom celebrates that we are all in process as God continues to work in and through each of us. Tom will be heard to often say, “God is getting us ready for what He already has ready for us.”
Rev. Daniel Soderberg is a graduate from Jamestown Community College, Toccoa Fall College and North Park Theological Seminary.
